What is your "why"? Why do you do what you do?
I am determined to increase survivorship rates among underserved women of color in underserved communities by increasing access to breast screenings and I plan on doing this by bringing the party to the people (eliminating some of the barriers that prevent early detection). -
About me
I’m a breast cancer survivor of less than six months. On my journey to healing my eyes were opened to the huge disparity in healthcare. African American women are 40% more likely to die than our counterparts and in Harris County 50% more likely to die. I am on a mission to bring equal access to breast screening to ensure higher survivorship rates. -
