Living Legacies with LaVeta was born after the untimely passing of her father, Edward “Creamy” Hayes, Jr. in February 2019. LaVeta has chosen to honor his life and legacy, touching as many people as possible, just like her dad. Living Legacies with LaVeta, Inc. is dedicated to enhancing and embracing the goal of creating generations of people to learn how to better manage and protect their money and create everlasting legacies.

Our college planning program is designed to successfully guide students and parents through the complex college preparation selection and funding process. Our certified coaches work directly with families to establish an action plan that is personally developed for each student. This plan is critical for the student to properly prepare for college, obtain proper career assessment and choose the right college to fit their needs.
About me
LaVeta Hayes was born in Daytona Beach, FL. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in
Accounting from Bethune-Cookman University and a Masters Degree in Public Administration
from Central Michigan University. After 37 years of exceptional Federal Government Service as
Branch Chief of Financial Management Policy for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest
Service, LaVeta retired in February of 2014.
LaVeta’s life is of service and is represented by involvement in a number of associations. To
name a few, she is a life member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, currently
associated with the Orlando Alumnae Chapter; a member of Florida Hospital Circle of Friends, a
Board Member of Seminole County Chamber and Life member of Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune
National Alumni Association. LaVeta loves to travel and to date has visited 30 countries on 6 continents ... and counting.
