My "why" is simple: I believe in the power of capturing moments that tell stories. Photography allows me to freeze time and immortalize emotions, connections, and milestones that would otherwise fade with time. Whether it’s a wedding, an executive portrait, or a special event, I do what I do because I want to give people the gift of remembering those moments forever—through images that bring them back to the feeling of that time, that place, and those people. It’s about more than just pictures; it’s about creating lasting memories that can be cherished for generations. -

About me
For over 17 years, Iván has been capturing stories throughout the US and the state of Colorado with an innovative, versatile, and high-energy approach. Iván is known for his collaborative approach with clients and best known for his unique eye, use of creative angles and natural ability to make clients feel comfortable in front of the camera. Over the years, Iván has honed his skills as a photographer through various photo genres including wedding/engagements, family/newborn/pet portraits, senior/graduation photos, concert/events, website promotions, and photo journalism.
Iván is an award winning and published photographer. Collaborations over the years include entities like, The Latino Leadership Institute, The Greeley Museum, The Smithsonian, University of Northern Colorado, Community College of Aurora, and CU-Denver among others. Iván has also collaborated with Thunder Mountain Amphitheater as the lead photographer for the Under the Sun Tour and the Up in Smoke Tour, photographing artists such as Smash Mouth, Sugar Ray, and WAR to name a few. Most recently, Iván was appointed as lead magazine photographer to commemorate Community College of Aurora’s 40th Anniversary. In addition, his work, Iván has been honorably displayed at the Greeley History Museum, for the Dolores Huerta: Revolucíon in the Fields exhibit. The exhibition explored local history in Greeley/surrounding areas and exhibited Huertas public life as an activist and co-founder of the United Farm Workers Union. The exhibition was organized by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition in collaboration with the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery.
In 2022, Iván curated his first local exhibit. Partnering with Weld Works, The Midnight Oil Bookstore, and La Catrina taco truck, this larger than live exhibit, displayed 12 large 4ft x 5ft. black and white images from his personal collection. The event was free to the public, where over 100 people enjoyed a live DJ, food and community. This was Iván's second exhibit. His first exhibit, was held at the SPACE Gallery, located in Denver's Art District where approximately 250 viewers were in attendance. Over the years Iván has traveled far and near to capture stories through his lens, whether it be a graduation commencement, a studio session or a Native American Reservation.
Iván likes to think that the greatest skill I bring to a photo shoot has nothing to do with cameras or lighting, but with the empathy and respect for the people who trust in me to tell their stories.
Iván has dedicated his photography career to capturing stories one image at a time and is available for international photojournalism.

Hobbies and interest
When not behind the camera, you can find me embracing the outdoors, whether it's road-biking across the state or on a scenic moutnain bike trail or tinkering with bikes to keep them in top shape. I enjoy spending time with his partner and 3 kids. I’m a fan of local breweries, whiskey and a good hamburger. During the summer season, you can find me outside grilling. I unwind with a cold one and and dive into my love for fashion, art, and music, which constantly fuel my creative vision. I’m also a big fan of classic video games, finding inspiration in their simplicity and nostalgia. Local plays and travel are my ways of connecting with cultures, experiencing different foods, and broadening my perspective. I’m also an avid thrifter, hunting for unique finds that tell their own stories. These passions all come together to shape my unique approach to photography, blending creativity, culture, and a love for life’s simple pleasures. -
