When the market turned south in the late 80s, I found myself managing over 3,500 foreclosed properties. Every single one had a story - usually a tough one.     Fifteen years in mortgage banking followed, and let me tell you - I saw firsthand how a bad roof can wreck a family's biggest investment. After 50 years in housing, I've pretty much seen it all: the good, the bad, and the "who let this pass inspection?" Mortgage banking is a career that gave me unique insights into home ownership, property values, and the critical importance of home maintenance. During my banking years, I repeatedly saw how neglected roofing could devastate home values and create significant financial stress for families. I eventually decided to make a strategic pivot from mortgage banking to roofing, driven by a desire to become my own boss.
