What is your "why"? Why do you do what you do?
I have met so many people who don't know anything about their investments or investing in general. They do what everyone else does. No one questions whether it is best for them or if there are alternatives. I have seen my parents struggle in later life because of fears of investing that were founded in poor information. Also, few realize the potential to lose much of their savings in taxes once they reach retirement. They get poor advice from those who just want to make money off the client's investments. We want to work with as many individuals as possible to prepare them for a long retirement, doing what they love to do and planned to do without worrying about taxes or running out of money.

About me
I began as a teacher out college, but realized I wasn't cut out to work in schools. I wanted to change them to make them better. I went into the business world and learned that the teaching skills were very useful. I had my own business as a manufacturer's representative and went tp work for one of the companies I represented as a sales manager. I worked for several small businesses as a sales manager. As I began investing in a 401k plan, I became very interested in investment and insurance. I saw firsthand how few people, if any, understood what they were invested in. I went to work for Northwestern Mutual and eventually got into the small business market. It was fascinating to me. Each business was different and had different challenges. Eventually I went into business on my own as an independent life insurance agent. Again the focus has grown to be more in the business market, helping reduce taxes and establish tax free income strategies for owners and executives. Also, I have worked with businesses to help employees better understand investing and the 401k investments they have.
