I was inspired to become a financial advisor by a deep-seated passion to improve peoples' lives in a transformative way. Before I got into this business, I grew up watching my step-dad run his practice as an advisor with Edward Jones, and in situations where I got to meet his clients it wasn't uncommon for them acknowledge the impact he had on their life. This greatly impressed upon me the importance of the role I am in, and spurred on my motivation of helping others. The reality is that the financial landscape is complex, and requires a strenuous amount of effort to navigate. With thoughtful and tailored financial planning I want to give clients confidence and peace of mind so that they can put more time and energy into the things that they really love.
Unique Selling Proposition
Too often when I'm speaking with prospective clients do I hear that their advisor performs only surface level financial planning that plays a secondary role to investing. The main thing that I believe separates me from other advisors, is that forming a strong financial plan is the centerpiece of the work I do with clients. It provides us the roadmap for how to best achieve the client's goals, and how they should subsequently invest. Without a plan, we would be operating a rudderless ship, and I want the people I serve to know we are in control. Furthermore, I believe strongly in educating my clients on how their money is working for them. Information is powerful and having knowledge of how their financial plan is constructed lends credence to a client's ability to feel confident.
About me
I was raised in Issaquah, WA where I went to Issaquah High School and spent a considerable amount of time playing baseball up until I graduated. I attended the University of Washington where I received a B.S. in biology. Prior to financial advising, I worked for several years in medical sales for an orthopedic surgery company called Arthrex. Most weekends, you can find me spending time in the outdoors.
