About me
I started as an investor in 2005. I own several investment properties and love real estate. To me, smart home buying and selling is an investment realized.
I was a top-40 radio personality in Tampa, Ft. Lauderdale, Chicago and then in Houston at KRBE. I got the name Shotgun Cook Houston's KRBE radio - there is a story behind that moniker, ask me.
After KRBE my wife Karen and I began a media marketing company called Sound Works, serving some of the nation's largest companies. Karen and I now leverage our marketing experience as a full-time Realtors® with the Brilliant Team, brokered by EXP Realty. Now we use social media and online advertising to attract buyers and sellers for our customers and their properties. We specialize in luxury home purchases, commercial and investment property.
Karen and I have worked together and have been married 45+ years. We have two adult daughters, both creatives. One is a professional makeup artist to the stars in Nashville. Our youngest is a celebrated artist with paintings in the Library of Congress and various museums.

Music makes life better. Karen Cook was the first woman Disco DJ in the U.S. Shotgun Cook was a rock and roll Top 40 radio personality in the 70's and 80's. Not only do we love music but are steeped in music trivia.
Other interests include travel, good wine, making friends and helping people. We love the diversity of Houston and its many restaurant choices. Nothing better than sharing a bite and a drink with others. It breaks down barriers and connects people. -
